- Drinking dirty or untreated water.

1. Homemade Remedies ORS.
4 cups or 1 litre of clean water should be combined with 6 small spoonfuls of sugar and a pinch of salt. Then sip this as frequently as you can until you are fully recovered.
2. Mint Juice:
Regularly consuming mint juice will relieve cholera symptoms like nausea and vomiting.
3. Lemon:
At least one glass of fresh juice should be consumed each day.
4. Onion:
Combine 7–10 black peppercorns with about 30 grams of onions. Give the patient two to three doses of this combination each day after grinding it up.
5. Coconut and cucumber:
To quench excessive thirst and avoid dehydration, combine equal parts of coconut water and cucumber leaf juice.
6. Yogurt:
Yogurt with live probiotic cultures is an excellent treatment for cholera. You must consume it every day until you are fully recovered.
7. High water intake:
To keep your body hydrated, drink plenty of water. Drink bottled water or water that has been chlorine- or iodine-purged, not just any water. Boil the water before consuming it to be on the safe side.
8. Bitter Gourd Juice:
Add a few drops of lemon juice and half a glass of onion juice to a glass of bitter gourd juice. Using this combination of juices as a remedy for cholera is also successful.
9. Drink a decoction made from the guava tree's root bark and boiled water twice daily.
